Chapter 3
Key words- Non-verbal, expression, eye-contact

Non-verbal communication is a form of expressing to another person without relying on words. Instead using facial expressions, body language, or even gestures to convey their message. Interacting with others in subtle manners plays a huge role in everyday human connections.
Based on this image it shows two faces communicating without saying any words. While they are exchanging a look towards each other they both understand and communicate non-verbally. Using simple non-verbal cues such as a simple look, or eye-contact. This highlights how humans understand each other through expression alone. This relates to the chapter as interpreting facial expressions and reading body languages.
This is related to my life because this is a form of communication I used on a daily basis. rely heavily on facial expressions to communicate my emotions, especially with friends and coworkers. For example, when I’m confused, my eyebrows might furrow, or when I’m annoyed, I might roll my eyes. Using eye contact is another form of expression that I use to communicate non-verbally. The way I look at others which sends people a signal, interest, disinterest and hostility. Since this is a natural reaction my friends now recognize how I may be feeling solely based on my expressions.
